Ditch the Distractions: Say ‘No’ to Shiny Objects and ‘Yes’ to What Matters Most

Opportunities abound for us to try something new, download a new course, get a new certification, or sign up for a new training.

Just sayin’.
You know what I mean. You are my people.

Shiny objects call our name and we are sure God is calling us to do “all the things.”

all.
of.
the.
things.

Friend, let me be the one to say it out loud. We are not called to do all the things, multi-tasking is not healthy and no is not a bad word.

Make it a practice to continually ask yourself, is what I am saying yes to in alignment with the life I am trying to build? Is there a yes which should be a no or is there a no which should be a yes?

My challenge for you as you plan your “to-do” list for this week, is to take a breath, whisper a prayer, and ask Jesus what would you have for me to focus on for the next seven days.

Father, what is my next best step?

“So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision -you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.”

Phillpians 3:15-16

I would love to hear what changes or shifts for you as you do!
