Do What You Love ; Secrets of Simplicity

When you are working hard at something you are passionate about it is ajoy; even when it is hard work and you are working like a steam engine. If you are determined to change the course of your life and the world around you, there are times you have to go against the flow. However, if  you find  your sweet spot, you can carve a path directing your raft downstream instead of paddling against the flow.

One way to find what you would love to do for a career is to start doing more of what you love do in life. If you love dancing, sign up for a class. If you love reading, consider joining a book club or perhaps starting one yourself. Whatever it is you find interesting, start incorporating more of it in your life. The more you engage in the activity, the more possibility you will find where your soul and your heart lights up and takes flight with a giant YES.

This doesn’t mean you stop what you are doing and make a living at dancing if that is what you love. You may find the acitivity is only fun if it is not your career… or you may find it is an open door to opportunity.

Today’s Challenge-  Start small with an activity and see where it takes you. Think outside of the box you normally live in.

  • Make a list of 3-5 things you have been wanting to try.
  • What is holding you back from a great big step over the line type of try towards something  you have found scary in the past.
  • Explore what you need to do to give 1 or 2 of them a go.
  • Do it. One of them. Go ahead.
  • Share in the comments what you intend to try… accountability and encouragment will be yours!!

If you are enjoying this journey please invite your friends, family and random strangers to join in- the world will be a better place because of it!   Share the love and bring them along  or stop by facebook for more love as you begin to enjoy more of a life you love!

Blessings!!

  1. For me, writing has been something I’ve always enjoyed. Even as a youngster I had the dream of writing a book, but as the years went by, it fell by the wayside. Then in recent times, the dream began to be revived. A blog was created, contact with a publisher was made, but nothing has materialized since then.
I still have the desire, but I’m not sure how to proceed. The publisher, without reading my script, insinuated that my story is “common”, and “just like so many others” on the shelves. And then there is the money issue. Zero dollars to invest.
So I’ve had to be content with where my blog-story has gone, but I wonder if it could have gone further. I question whether I even have another story in my to write; fiction or not. So I’ve stalled out. How does one proceed when it seems there is no where to go?

    1. keep writing, word by word. You have a story to tell- and there are those who need to have words of hope spoken into their dark places.
